Better Time than Ever?

well its Christmas Eve..... and im bored. So i figure its time to start this shit.


Theres gonna be a shit ton of drama involved with this, but whatever. Ill be using this blog to follow the status of my Engine Swap.

Ill be going from a KA24DE to a CA18DET.

not the average swap for a 240sx, but the CA does come from the 180sx in japan. Which shares the same basic chassis, but if your reading this you probably already know everything you need to know, so lets continue here.

So far i have allocated everything i need for the swap to happen.

Motorset
Upgraded Fuel Pump
Front Mount Intercooler Kit
Blow Off Valve
Boost Guage
And Misc Fluids


Its a farely striaght forward swap. And the motor I have sourced for this is sitting in a S13 currently. So once its pulled i dont have too much wiring to do. So thats a good thing.

Now as the motor sits. Its in a s13 god knows where, inside the alabama borders.... but its currently got a SR t25 on it. Well the guy quoted me a price on it, and well i dont need the upgraded turbo or the side mount. So after telling him that he lowered the price. He will be giving me the stock CA t25 withe the engine and i wont be getting his fuel pump. So after all the caluclations, it cam down to 5 numbers. 600.00

I was fairly shocked at it, and well its really tooo good of a deal to pass up. So after Friday i will have the cash in my hand and at some point in Jan. I will be borrowing a truck, going to test drive the car with the motor, and if it all works out ill be coming home with the motor!!!

Ive located a r32 GTR fuel pump to replace my stocker

and

A buddy of mine will be hooking me up with a HKS front mount kit

as for the BOV, Ive got a pretty little Greddy Type RS sitting at home waiting for some pressure.
